Architecture and Interior Design Books by Women

When doing research, it is important to think about WHOSE research you're citing. Do you have a diverse range of sources and cite both women and BOPIC scholars? Or are all your sources written by white men? While not every research topic will have diverse sources, by citing women and BIPOC scholars when possible, you amplify their voices.

Women and Interior Design Subject Headings

Unlike women and architecture, there are no specific subject headings for women and interior design. This is because, historically, interior design has been considered to be a "woman's profession" by society. Since interior designers where expected to be female, there was no need for a specific subject heading.
