Thank you to everyone who participated in an initiative workgroup for the AY 23-24 Strategic Plan!  You accomplished so much during this past year and produced thorough, timely, useful products!

This section is designed to provide information on the work these groups accomplished.

Talent Management - On-Boarding

LibGuide for Onboarding

  • Created LibGuide for Onboarding. Includes:
    • "New to the Area" information
    • Library terminology, acronyms, listservs
    • Information for Classified Staff, Unclassified Staff, and Librarians
  • Created and implemented the pilot Buddy Program

  • Established group to facilitate the revision of collection policies, practices, and procedures
  • Established a group to implement recruitment and hiring practices recommendations
  • Made progress towards creating standardized accessibility training for staff
  • Planned and secured funding for two sensory study rooms
  • Added accessible furniture

External Funding

  • Cooperated with ORI on workshops for GrantForward and SciEnCV tools for grant searches and applications.
  • Created a Library staff grant writing LibGuide and pre-proposal form.
