Miami University Research Data Management Microcourse
A canvas based set of modules on the following topics: Data Management; Data Curation and Reuse; Data Analysis and Intro to R; Data Visualization.
These are available for students as an asynchronous workshop, or for use as an add-on to data oriented courses.

- DMPTool This link opens in a new windowThe DMPTool is a free, open-source, online application that helps researchers create data management plans. These plans, or DMPs, are now required by many funding agencies as part of the grant proposal submission process. The DMPTool provides a click-through wizard for creating a DMP that complies with funder requirements. It also has direct links to funder websites, help text for answering questions, and resources for best practices surrounding data management.

- NeotomaNeotoma Paleoecology Database and Community is an online hub for data, research, education, and discussion about paleoenvironments. Anyone with an Internet connection can access Neotoma.
- NSIDC | National Snow and Ice Data CenterData sets for glaciers, ice sheets, permafrost, sea ice, soil moisture, snow and more.
- NOAANational Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration has an array of data.
- RRUFF ProjectThe RRUFF™ Project is creating a complete set of high quality spectral data from well characterized minerals and is developing the technology to share this information with the world. Our collected data provides a standard for mineralogists, geoscientists, gemologists and the general public for the identification of minerals both on earth and for planetary exploration.
