DataONE is a community driven project providing access to data across multiple member repositories, supporting enhanced search and discovery of Earth and environmental data.
EarthChem operates a suite of data systems that assist Geoscientists with accessing, sharing, and using geochemical, petrological, and geochronological data. EarthChem systems ensure open and persistent access to quality controlled data and provide advanced capabilities for data mining and data analysis.
figshare allows users to upload any file format to be previewed in the browser so that any research output, from posters and presentations to datasets and code, can be disseminated in a way that the current scholarly publishing model does not allow.
Neotoma Paleoecology Database and Community is an online hub for data, research, education, and discussion about paleoenvironments. Anyone with an Internet connection can access Neotoma.
The RRUFF™ Project is creating a complete set of high quality spectral data from well characterized minerals and is developing the technology to share this information with the world. Our collected data provides a standard for mineralogists, geoscientists, gemologists and the general public for the identification of minerals both on earth and for planetary exploration.
The United States Geological Survey has so many different data collection and mapping programs it's hard to list them all, so this is just a link to their main page.
Periodic or continuous measurements from the field for earthquakes, water, floods, geomagnetism, remote sensing and landsat, landslides, volcanoes, droughts and wildfires.
Free software for scientific data analysis, with functions for data manipulation, plotting, univariate and multivariate statistics, ecological analysis, time series and spatial analysis, morphometrics and stratigraphy.
Free JAVA package, enables you to explore and create charts of any portion of the geologic time scale from an extensive suite of global and regional events in Earth History.
Modules cover topics including but not limited to data sharing, data management planning, data quality control, protection, data citation and legal issues.
DataONE is a community driven project providing access to data across multiple member repositories, supporting enhanced search and discovery of Earth and environmental data. DataONE promotes best practices in data management through responsive educational resources and materials.
Standards make it easier to create, share, and integrate data by making sure that there is a clear understanding of how the data are represented and that the data you receive are in a form that you expected.
The DMPTool is a free, open-source, online application that helps researchers create data management plans. These plans, or DMPs, are now required by many funding agencies as part of the grant proposal submission process. The DMPTool provides a click-through wizard for creating a DMP that complies with funder requirements. It also has direct links to funder websites, help text for answering questions, and resources for best practices surrounding data management.
Miami University Libraries provides customized review of proposed data management plans.

Multivariate Geostatistics by Hans WackernagelThis fully revised third edition introduces geostatistics by emphasising the multivariate aspects for scientists, engineers and statisticians. Geostatistics offers a variety of models, methods and techniques for the analysis, estimation and display of multivariate data distributed in space or time. The text contains a brief review of statistical concepts, a detailed introduction to linear geostatistics, and an account of 3 basic methods of multivariate analysis. Applications from different areas of science, as well as exercises with solutions, are provided to help convey the general ideas. The introductory chapter has been divided into two separate sections for clarity. The final section deals with non-stationary geostatistics.
