Point-of-Care Mobile Apps

Some of the Point-of-Care tools that Miami Libraries subscribe to have mobile apps you can install. If you have questions or issues with any of these, please contact one of your subject librarians (Krista or Ginny).

Apps for Library Resources

  1. Go to AccessMedicine
  2. Create an account by clicking on the box at the top right of the screen that says Miami University.
  3. Select Create a Free MyAccess Profile.
  4. Once you have your username and login, download the AccessMedicine app to your mobile device from Apple Store or Google Play Store.
    Login with your AccessMedicine account information.

NOTE: If you have registered for a MyAccess profile on any of the Access sites, you can use the same MyAccess login credentials across all sites.

Reauthentication is required every 90 days by signing in to your MyAccess account from on campus or from links on the library website.


Access UpToDate | Divisions of Family Practice

  1. Go to UpToDate
  2. Create an account using your Miami
  3. Once you have your username and login, download the UpToDate app to your mobile device from Apple Store or Google Play Store.
    Login with your UpToDate account information.

Reauthentication is required every 90 days by signing in to your MyAccess account from on campus or from links on the library website.


Visible Body | Access your institution's Visible Body Site License on your  mobile device

1. Go to the Visible Body-How to Access page and follow the instructions

Mobile App expires 150 days after download. To access, you will need to re-authenticate using your Miami University login.

Free Apps

Epocrates is "the clinician’s indispensable multi-tool! With valuable features including drug information, interaction check, pill identification, clinical practice guidelines, and formulary, epocrates is essential to the busy provider. See what’s included with epocrates—and why many providers use the app up to 10 times a day." And it’s free.
1. Download the app from the Apple Store or Google Play Store.
2. Create a free account.

The ePSS is a free app designed to help primary care clinicians identify clinical preventive services that are appropriate for their patients. Use the tool to search and browse U.S. Preventive Services Task Force (USPSTF) recommendations on the web or on your PDA or mobile device.

1. Download AHRQ ePSS app to your mobile device.

2. You're good to go, no personal account needed!
