Welcome & Collection Statement

The Instructional Materials Center (IMC) on the Ground Floor of King Library holds contemporary literature for children and young adults intended for use in teaching and learning.

Researchers may also be interested in the historic children's literature collection held in the Walter Havighust Special Collections and University Archives on the 3rd Floor of King Library.

For assistance with literary research on children's literature, see this guide.

Please note: the IMC contains materials suitable for children and young adults, however, it is part of an institute of higher education, and therefore includes items that deal with bias, controversial, or outdated topics. Those wishing to use IMC materials outside of the college setting should always evaluate the materials with their intended audience and purpose in mind and make selections appropriate to the setting in which they will be used.
