Considerations Before Writing a Grant

Criteria to consider when applying for a grant

  • Scope of funding agency - internal (Miami), local, state or regional, national, international
  • Type of grant - materials, research, program (possibly a combination of any of these)
  • Anticipated timeframe - are you looking for a short project or multi-year program
  • Who is involved - solo, a library-only team, other departments, other institutions
