Users must create an account, providing your @miamioh.edu e-mail address, in order to use SciFinderN.
SciFinder-n provides access to journal articles, dissertations, abstracts, and patents in chemistry and biomedicine. Search for literature or for chemical records by research topic, author, chemical substance or reaction, document identifier, and company/organization name.
Also available within SciFinder are these other CAS products: ChemZent, CAS Analytical Methods, and CAS Formulus.
- Web of Science (All Databases) This link opens in a new windowWeb of Science has a broad focus. What's special about it is the citation tracking; it has a full list of the works cited by an article and a list of articles that cited it. This allows you to find useful resources via citations forward and backwards in time. The Derwent Innovations Index is available via Web of Science. Access to more than 14,800,000 patents with links to cited and citing patents, cited articles, and full-text patent data sources
Software
- ChemDrawChemDraw is currently (fall 2023) not available on library computers. However you can with your Miami email run the software on your own computer.
