Using SimplyAnalytics: Business Overlays

This guide will help you find and interpret the data in SimplyAnalytics.

Businesses Tab

The Businesses tab is the last one on the dark gray menu.

Find Businesses

You can type in the name of a specific store, like "Starbucks" or a more generic description of the business like "coffee shop." 

Be aware that spelling counts! You will get zero results if you misspell something. 

Either the name of the business OR its business category must contain the word that you typed. We will discuss business categories in the following box.

Using NAICS Codes

You can also search for business by NAICS code number. Learn more about NAICS codes here if needed.

This will generate a business list of all the businesses in that industry in your area.

Business List

After you have mapped the businesses you are looking for, SimplyAnalytics will also automatically generate a list of all of the businesses and their addresses.
