Generally, Statista does not require much troubleshooting.
You should be able to use it immediately once you click on the link above without creating a personal account. In fact, creating and trying to use a personal account will actually cause you to log out of Miami's license and lose paid access to Statista.
When you are on Statista, make sure the heading looks like either of the 2 images below.
OR
If you roll over My Account it should say Campus License International.
You should always login to Statista using a link from the library's website or this direct link: https://libguides.lib.miamioh.edu/statista
Sometimes even if you do that it does not recognize that you are logging in from our paid account. You may also run into this problem if you created a personal account and you need to log out and switch to the Miami account. Another problem you may encounter is an error message that says Bad Message 431: Reason: Request Header Fields Too Large.
To fix any of these issues, follow these steps:
Go to Statista.com and hit Login
Ignore the text boxes on the next screen and hit Campus Access.
On the next page, scroll past the first section and use the option under "If you have access." Select Miami University-Ohio from the dropdown list. Do this even if you are on campus! Then click Check Access. You should be taken to the Miami DUO page and be good to go from there.
