Using In Canvas

You can easily share any SWANK film through the sharing tools below the film. There are 2 ways to do this. By using a Direct Link or a LMS Link.

Instructions

Once you click on a film in SWANK, you will notice a buttons "Copy Direct Link" or "Copy LMS Link," below the film.

1. If you select "Copy Direct Link" you will have a link you can share.

  • When adding to Canvas be sure that the link opens in a new tab or an error message will occur.
  • Add as an external URL and click the check box for opening in a new tab
  • This method works well when creating Modules

2. If you choose "Copy LMS Link,"  that link will allow you to share or embed the film in Canvas.

  • The copied HTML code should look something like this: <a href="https://digitalcampus.swankmp.net/muo369164/watch?token=082C6A327774FB97">Watch The Intern</a>
  • Open your Canvas course.
  • Click Pages, then Add Pages.
  • Click the HTML Editor button.
  • Paste the embed code.
  • Click Save.
  • A link to the film will now be available on your page
