UNV 101: Miami University Regional Libraries: Library Services

Research

Research Appointments/Consultations

Students can make a one-one-one or group appointment with a librarian and receive personalized support on your research project. This may look like assistance with solidifying research questions, creating or modifying keywords, or teaching students how to use subject specific databases that best support their research. These appointments can be done in-person, or online via Zoom.

Walk in appointments are available but are subject to the availability of the on-duty librarian. In order to guarantee assistance, we encourage students to make appointments whenever possible.

Online Chat Services

The library offers an online chat service during our open hours. This is a great way to ask a quick question such as: "How do I access this article?" Our chat services are anonymous, so you can comfortably ask us for research support and assistance. The chat is run by our library staff, so please be patient if it takes us a moment to respond!
