Guidelines for Using the Fund Pool

This pool of money is available to Librarians and Unclassified Staff to use for webinars and other virtual opportunities that can be “attended” as a group.

  • Past examples include group registration for ER&L Conference, and Charleston Conference.

Spending is determined by Department Heads and can vary from year to year at the Dean’s discretion.

Ideally, these opportunities will be ones that appeal to and benefit multiple departments with a diverse range of topics.

Registration for these will be a lump sum that could cover multiple access points or a lump sum that would allow people to gather in a single room. These funds are not geared toward group discounts on multiple registrations.

Be prepared with information that will help Department Heads make an informed decision.

  • How many people would need to attend to get the group rate.
  • Do you already know people that may be interested
  • How much is the single rate registration versus the group rate
  • How is this opportunity relevant or useful to your position
    • This information may help determine others in other areas that may also find it useful.
