Citing translated sources in APA

CITING TRANSLATED SOURCES

  • If paraphrasing and putting the ideas in your own words, use the parenthetical citation to the source in the original language.
  • If quoting directly, put the quote in the original language followed by the English translation in brackets. The parenthetical citation goes to the citation in the original language.
  • All works cited entries should cite the source in the original language.
