Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion: ACRL Diversity Alliance
University Libraries' Residency Program
In 2022, the University Libraries joined the ARCL Diversity Alliance, committing to the creation of a residency position to "expand opportunities available to individuals from professionally underrepresented groups to gain the knowledge, skills, and competencies necessary to thrive in an academic context."
The Libraries will use the 2022-23 Academic Year to plan the residency program, with an anticipated start in Academic Year 2023-2024.
In addition to joining the ACRL Diversity Alliance, the Libraries is collaborating with the Office of the Provost's Heanon Wilkins Faculty Fellows program to integrate the new resident into the campus community.
