Choosing Your Analysis

Alright, so you've identified your null and alternate hypotheses, determined what category each of your variables falls into, and mastered some of the basics of R. You should now have all the information you need to figure out what kind(s) of statistical analysis will fit your study.

Statistical analyses generally fall into two different groups: descriptive and inferential. Typically you will include some combination of stats from both groups when reporting results. The following lessons will cover both groups, including common analyses within each.
