Digital Scholarship: Digital Project Management

Digital Scholarship is scholarly activity that makes extensive use of one or more of the new possibilities for teaching, learning and research opened up by the unique affordances of digital tools and methods.

Project Management Defined

Project management focuses on planning and organizing a project and its resources. This includes identifying and managing the lifecycle to be used, selecting the team members, organizing the work to be done, and efficiently guiding the team through all phases through to project completion.

DMP Tool @ Miami The DMPTool is a free, open-source, online application that helps researchers create data management plans. These plans, or DMPs, are now required by many funding agencies as part of the grant proposal submission process. The DMPTool provides a click-through wizard for creating a DMP that complies with funder requirements. It also has direct links to funder websites, help text for answering questions, and resources for best practices surrounding data management.
