Disinfecting Library Items

When technology equipment is returned it will be disinfected using appropriate cleaning supplies before being checked out to another user.

Physical Distancing in the Library

Library staff have taken measures to encourage physical distancing in the library. These include:

  • Limiting the number of public computers available.
  • Keeping a smaller number of chairs at each table and spacing all seating out to at least 6 feet apart.
  • Blocking off parts of the couches with signs.

Group & Individual Study Rooms

  • Group study rooms are open and limited to 3 people.
  • Individual study rooms are also available on a first-come-first-served basis.

Keeping you Safe

  • One hour is designated each day to clean and disinfect any high-touch surfaces in the library. Library staff will also clean any other areas on an as-needed basis. Physical facilities staff also do some cleaning during regular business hours and after hours.
  • Disinfectant spray and towels are available for patrons to wipe down high touch points prior to use.
  • A hand sanitizer dispenser is located next to the pay-for-print stations in the library as this is a high touch area that will be very difficult to clean between users.
  • Please use the book drops on the outside of the Schwarm building near the archway, or the hallway right outside the library. Technology equipment must be turned in at the service desk inside the library.
