Library Use

At this time, Rentschler Library is only open for Miami University students, staff, and faculty. Community Users may utilize curbside pickup to check out materials and can get help from library staff via chat, phone, or email.

  • All library users must wear masks at all times.
  • Please do not rearrange library furniture. Furniture has been arranged to ensure proper physical distancing.
  • There are limited numbers of public computers available due to physical distancing requirements. Users wanting to log on to a computer must first check out a keyboard and mouse at the main service desk. The keyboard and mouse will be disinfected when returned.
  • Textbooks on Reserve will not be available due to book quarantining guidelines.
  • Food and drink is prohibited.

Rentschler Library Staff

Supporting students, faculty, and staff both on campus and online is a constant goal for the Regional libraries. During this transitional time, the library is open to help with research consultations and embedded librarianship; provide assistance for courses with reserves and streaming video services; offer a variety of technical equipment, including laptops and iPads; and provide individual study rooms for quiet study.

All research assistance will be provided via phone, email, chat, or online research consultations, even when the library is open.

Contact library staff via phone (513-785-3235), text (513-795-8849), email, or chat to discuss your needs or ask questions.
