Publishing and Open Access
Miami University Libraries, working with the OhioLink consortium and Miami's Office of Research and Innovation, offers researchers intending to publish in Open Access journals certain opportunities for assistance with these journals' article publication charges (APC). These agreements have some limitations, including:
OhioLINK has negotiated five agreements for its institutions’ authors, while the Office of Research and Innovation currently has limited funds under its Publication, Reprint, Exhibition, and Performance (PREP) program.
More information on each of the agreements, including restrictions and other important information, is provided in this guide. For additional information or if you have questions, please reach out to the librarians listed in the sidebar or your subject specialist librarian.
OhioLINK has negotiated five read-and-publish agreements for its institutions’ authors. These publishing agreements allow authors to publish open access at no cost to the authors or additional cost to their institutions. They also provide access to a broad range of high-quality research articles from these publishers. The agreements are with the following publishers. More information on each can be found on the OhioLINK agreements page.
Miami's Office of Research and Innovation's Faculty Research Committe (CFR) works with investigators to support indirect costs occurred when working on externally funded grants and programs. As part of this effort under certain conditions the CFR will approve payments of up to $500 towards journal page charges, book publication, or other costs.
All applications must be received by June 20th of the current fiscal year. For more information including terms and conditions click the logo above or click here - Miami PREP Program
