Evidence-Based Practice

Evidence-Based Practice (EBP) involves 3 aspects:  

  • the highest level of research evidence
  • the provider's expertise and experience
  • the patient's preference and values.  

EBP process includes 6 steps:  

  • Ask
  • Search
  • Appraise
  • Integrate
  • Evaluate
  • Disseminate
