Interlibrary loan (ILL) is available only for current Miami University students, faculty, and staff.
Loan periods for items received by the Miami University Libraries are determined by the owning institution. Although there are no per diem overdue charges, the owning institution may issue Miami University a non-refundable bill for replacement charges for items kept past the due date/loan period or lost. The full amount of this bill will be passed on to the patron, and his/her interlibrary loan and Miami University Libraries accounts may be blocked until the bill is paid.
Renewals are at the discretion of the lending institution, and are rarely granted once an item becomes overdue. Please log into your ILL account to place a renewal or email muhlibrary@miamioh.edu in advance of the due date if seeking a renewal.
Libraries may stipulate that material can only be used in the building. These materials may be retrieved and used in the Havighurst Special Collections Library on the 3rd floor of King Library.
Items from these collections may be renewed up to 6 times unless another patron has requested that item.
