ENG 111 Flanigan (Regionals): Finding Books

Why Use Books?

Books are best at providing in-depth coverage of a topic, history and chronology, overviews of big topics, and bibliographies of additional sources. You don't have to read a book cover-to-cover to use it as a source for your essays. Look at the table of contents to find relevant sections, read the preface or introduction, and check the index in the back, which is an alphabetical list of the subjects covered along with corresponding page numbers.

Find Books We Own

Books & More is the library's online catalog. Use this to find all of the items we own, whether it's a book, e-book, video, map or government publication. You can limit by Location to only see items at Hamilton. Use the "Request Item" link to have items sent to you from another campus library.  Important: the item has to have a status of "Available" in order to have it sent to you. Watch this short video on how to use the online catalog.
