Creative Writing: Low-Residency MFA

As a Miami University student enrolled in the Low-Residency MFA program, you have the same right to check out items as all other Miami University students. Many of our books are ebooks, which can be read online on demand. Note that it is possible to limit your catalog searches to ebooks only. Print materials circulate to graduate students for a period of one semester, and can be renewed online. Note that is it is possible for print books to be recalled for use by another user. A recalled item would need to be returned in person or by mail within 7 days.

The OhioLink catalog includes the holdings of 118 university and research libraries in the state of Ohio. If you live in Ohio, you can request that books from OhioLink libraries be delivered and held for you at the circulation desk of a college or university near you.

If the MU Libraries and OhioLINK libraries do not own your textbook, you can attempt to request an interlibrary loan (ILL). Keep in mind that ILL books can take up to 4 weeks or longer to arrive, and – unfortunately – many university libraries do not loan textbooks. Additionally, loan periods for ILL books may be shorter than what you need. Please talk to a librarian before attempting to ILL a textbook.

Note that when you first sign up to read the New York Times through Miami's subscription, you must sign up on-campus. So, you may wish to make a point of signing-up for the New York Times during one of your visits to campus.
