Creative Writing: Literary Magazines (primarily print)

Literary Magazines (primarily print)

Newpages.com maintains a guide to print and online literary magazines, and a list of twitter feeds maintained by these publications.  Both the guide and the twitter list are worth reviewing:

Literary magazines that publish mostly in print. For a guide to what kinds of submissions are accepted by these publications, see the Poets & Writers Literary Magazines index.

Locations

The latest issues of some of these magazines will be on the ground floor of King in the New Periodicals Section.  Other issues can be found on the ground floor of King in the Instructional Materials Center, in the print periodicals compact shelving.  Some older periodicals will be in the SW Depository and can be requested.

Search Tips

Some publications listed here are found exclusively online, while others are available in print only. Sometimes our coverage spans both formats.

To double check how much access you have to any title listed here, search - starting on the Libraries homepage, www.lib.miamioh.edu - in both the Books & More tab (for print copies available in all MU Libraries locations) and the E-Journals Titles tab (for digital access via databases like Humanities International Complete).
