Library Professional Development

Charge & Objective

CHARGE: The Professional Development Committee coordinates the implementation of a professional development program for all levels of the Miami University Libraries’ staff  in support of our goal of being a vibrant and responsive library system.  The committee will focus on developing the skills necessary to encourage and support an environment that values diversity and learning to meet the needs of today’s students, faculty and staff.

OBJECTIVE: Coordinate the implementation of a professional development program focused on the establishment of core competencies and standards to improve performance, develop key skills and increase job satisfaction.   The committee will assess needs on an on-going basis and plan and provide enrichment opportunities for all levels of the library staff.
