This is a brief list of resources for finding statistical information about addiction in other countries.

Websites with helpful statistical data

Here are links to a few websites that include statistical data on addiction in other countries.

  1. Scroll to the bottom of the page and choose one of the links to see info about Alcohol, Illicit drug use, or Tobacco. 
  2. On the page that opens, scroll to and open the banner that says "All our charts on..."
  3. Choose a statistic that you want to see from the left menu.
  4. When that chart appears, click the tab at the bottom of the chart that says "Table."
  5. This will show the raw data from each country included in the chart. The countries are listed in alphabetical order.
  1. Note that this site will only include information from European countries.
  2. Choose one of the green boxes to see that set of statistics.
  3. Choose a narrower topic from the + lists in the center of the page. Drill down through the + menus until you get to a specific data set that interests you. Click it. 
  4. The statistics will be shown on a table, by country, alphabetically. Note that the most recent data (in the Year column) is different for each country based on when that nation last submitted statistics for the bulletin.
  1. Select your country from the alphabetical list of nations.
  2. Scrolling down through the page for each country shows a variety of statistics related to drugs and crime.
