Course Videos

Miami University has two major ways to make videos available to your students in online classes:

  • Online video streaming: The university libraries subscribe to a number of netflix-like services that make streaming videos available to our patrons.
    • KanopyThis service provides both instructional and select features films to members of the Miami community. It includes the entire Criterion Collection, PBS videos and many other instructional videos in a wide variety of subject areas.
    • OhioLINK Digital Video Collection: This collection contains over 2000 videos and stream directly in the browser window. It includes video content from Films for the Humanities and Sciences and the Ambrose Collection
    • We also have some other smaller video collections, all of which can be located at http://libguides.lib.miamioh.edu/c.php?g=46604
  • Video Digitization: The libraries can digitize any video in our collections for streaming directly in your Canvas course via Kaltura. For more information on this process, please contact Mary Hubbard in the King IMC at hubbarmt@miamioh.edu or 513-529-1674.
