Library Instruction for Online Classes

The libraries can provide instructional materials for online classes. These usually take the form of online library guides, much like this one. These guides can contain links to relevant databases that will help students locate resources for their assignments. These guides often also contain custom videos that provide students with instruction on using the databases. The steps to getting library instruction guides created are as follows:

  1. Contact your subject librarian to arrange for the creation of a custom course guide. You can find the list of subject librarians here: http://www.lib.miamioh.edu/people
  2. Send any assingments to the subject librarian so that they can be sure to target their guide to your students' needs.
  3. Discuss any needs for video creation with the subject librarian
  4. Add a link to the guide to your canvas course
