What doesn't count as a view?

  • Clicks on content while you're logged into LibGuides
    • If you see the orange command bar at the top of your window, your clicks won't count.
  • Clicks in preview mode
    • If you see &preview=a long string of letters and numbers in your URL, you're previewing the guide. Preview mode doesn't track any stats, so don't share that URL with the public- keep it internal.
  • Clicks or views of a rich text item
    • Don't put links in a rich text item unless you're okay with not keeping any stats for the link. Use links from the asset manager instead.
